hallo,
i have some questions about how to acquire pictures and movies from my camera and coudn´t find something in the forum so far....
- First i want to acquire images from my camera (sony cybershot p8 ) and rename them like the date-taken time-taken like [2006.08.29 12-12-12] description.jpg during the import. till now i did this with the Batch Convert - tool but there it is not possible to import also all mpg-movies on the camera as well. Also it´s not possible to import all folder on the camera at one time.
- is it possible to search also for comments without converting it to iptc-description before.
-i´m organizing my pictures on in a folder-tree where each folder is named with the date of the first picture in it followed by a description of the pictures in it. i used cam2pc till now which can do all the things above automatically but the exif-comment stuff is not for free. is it possible to create folders automatically during importing pictures from my camera
- finally i wanted to set some key-mappings but didn´t found anything in the options... is this possible so far?

- Until now i have created only JPEG-comments with another program and in XnView in the thumbnail&Detail - View only comments are shown, therefor it woul´d be easyer for me to search for comments and not only for IPTC-fields or a given description. I know, that it is possible to copy the metadata from a comment to a IPTC-description and search than after this fields but it is a little bit more circlular to do it this way.
- Yes, i want to import all my pitures and movies!! (over WIA device) automatically when i connect my camera to my computer.
Now i make it via batch convert, but there it isn´t possible to import movies and also importing pictures in subfolder.
So i would prefer a extra function which is only for importing from a camera.
