When I was still using ACDSee (before I learned about XnView) :) there was a great plugin (don't remember the name) to drag and drop the thumbnails into a desired order and then to rename them so that the pictures would stay in the chosen order.

Of all possible colors computers are almost always grey. And so are most programs. XnView already offers to change various background colors which is great. And I'd find it even greater if really everything could be configured including the explorer background color. I don't know if that is possible ...

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature ;) but if I hide a folder (in my case on the desktop) and access it with XnView I cann't access the subfolders through the "Explorer Window" of XnView. (The little plus that usually shows that a folder includes subfolder disappears thus I cann't open ...
