I tested on 0.48 and it works. Notice that 0.48 is a 32-bit version and what I am running now is a 64-bit version, I download and test 0.5 Win32 version, and it works.
Looks like it is a 64-bit video player issue. The OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

XnViewMP 0.5 Win64 - Video not playing
The video is avi format with video codec MJPG, taken using a digital camera. Thumbnail is created but the play button is not functional. This video can be played successfully in other video player.

I resized a batch of TIFF files and converted them to JPEG with the following configurations for the output files.
The output files were resized correctly but the file extensions remained as .tif

"Browse with XnViewMP" shows up in the context menu now for SD card drive, but .... only see a blank screen after clicking it.

Oh yes, have to start xnview.exe using "Run As Administrator"... even my Windows user account type is administrator. Using Windows 7.

Even after I have enabled it and click OK, the setting is always not saved, i.e. the box is always uncheck.

Correction. There is Exif thumbnail in my images after verifying this using other application.In that case, XnView 1.98.1 is not handling this correctly because there is no Exif thumbnail in my images, which are taken by using a compact digital camera.

Then IPTC/XMP data are batch added.
