I am thinking of using XnViewMP as my picture catalog. I can assign categories to pictures but it is not possible to export the categories with the pictures.
i.e.
Some root folder\
Catergory1
Pic1
Pic2
Category2
Pic3
...
When I look into xnview.db with sqllite browser I see some ...

Hi,
is it possible to add a few more placeholders to the -o option. I would like to rename the pictures while processing with the DateTake EXIF field. So IMG_4711.JPG would transform to 2014-05-02\P14_11_02.JPG if the picture was taken on 05/02/2014 at 14:11:02.
Maybe add a special char @ with a ...

Your suggestion seems to apply to the transform dialog. To save the results in a folder which depends on the transform options.
I would like to ahve an option to move thwe files based on their metadata.
May this can be implemented in the same dialog, but I leave this question to the developers ...

Hi,
it would be of help if the batch rename feature would offer a possiblity to move pictures to subfolder. I tried to add a \ to the template, bute that gives only - in the filename.
It would be helpful to organize picture (from scattered sources) into structured folders.
Example:
Sources:
C ...
