Video screen tearing in Ubuntu
Hi there, I'm running XnView 0.92, and it's working great, except that I'm getting screen tearing when I play videos inside the program.
I'm running compiz with openGL, and I can confirm that vlc and gthumb both playback video without tearing. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re-read categories?
Hi, I made the mistake of moving some photo folders around in my file manager, and not in xnview. Now a lot of my categories don't link to anything.
Is there a way to clear these categories and reload them from the tags in the photos themselves?

Re: Thumbs not caching?
I think I may have found the answer to this. When I browse by folder, the thumbs load slowly, but if I browse by category, or some other criterion stored in the db, the thumbs load instantly.

Thumbs not caching?
I had the idea that XnView has a database where it saves thumbnails. However, I have some directories mapped to a remote drive on my home network, and I have noticed that every time I revisit a directory after restarting XnView, the program slowly renders each thumbnail, leading me to assume it's ...

Re: Can't get any multimedia to play
I have the gstreamer 'base', 'good', 'bad' and 'ugly' plugins installed. Also 'nice', 'libav', 'clutter', 'alsa', 'fluendo' and 'pulseaudio'.
I get this error when I run xnview from a terminal and try to open a video:

Re: Categorize by event? ITPC?
I don't know that I have a file with this data in it. I just saw online that there is such a thing as itpc 'event' field. I think shotwell just uses its own database to categorize by events.

Categorize by event? ITPC?
I am in the process of moving away from Shotwell and using XnView exclusively. In shotwell, you can browse by event, and this goes Year, Month, Event Name. I find this the be a useful way to organize my personal photos, like family photos.
I know that there is an ITPC field called 'event' for this ...

Can't get any multimedia to play
Hello, I'm running XnViewMP on Ubuntu 16.04, and I can't get any videos or audio to play. Photos show up just fine. I can play videos and audio outside of XnView. Is it possible that I need a special dependency or code? Thanks for your help.

How to remove folder images
I saw in the UI-less settings that I can change the color of folders. This is good because I'm using the dark theme and I want the folders to just appear as gray boxes. I was able to go into UI-less settings and make all 5 bg colors the same, giving me a gray box. However, there is still a graphic ...

Re: Moving files messes up categories
If I browse to a directory that is outside my base path, and there's existing ITPC data in that directory's images, is XnView going to attempt to add those to my catalog? Because if it doesn't, then it's just caching thumbnails.

I guess it doesn't really matter. If I browse to a directory that is outside my base path, and there's existing ITPC data in that directory's images, is XnView going to attempt to add those to my catalog? Because if it doesn't, then it's just caching thumbnails. If I get a huge database of ...
