Hello there,

on an up to date ArchLinux, xnviewmp throws fontconfig errors:

Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/fonts.conf", line 42600367: syntax error
Fontconfig error: Cannot load config file from /etc/fonts/fonts.conf
Fontconfig warning: no <cachedir> elements found. Check configuration.
Fontconfig ...

I'm somewhat not sure anymore, and probably have confused myself along the way. At first, it crashed on closing whatever. I think removing the original broken ini-file fixed that, and then removed the "crash on browser close" part.

By now, I somewhat suspect it's due to me trying to index about 75k ...

Yes, as well. Anything that's closable leads to a crash.

Edit: Oh look. The browser itself actually doesn't crash, only the image preview. And apparently I can close the browser without an error. I think that's new though.

It doesn't matter what's in the folder. It can be empty, contain any kind of image file, or any other filetype. The amount of files in there doesn't matter either. I don't even need to open another tab for this, I can just close the default tab and it crashes. Basically any close-action causes a ...

Fixed version attached. I fixed it with "gpicview", an image viewer for linux that happens to be able to save images as well.

The bitmap is invalid. Try opening the attached one.

For the sake of privacy, I removed the paths in "history", "pathbrowser" and "recentfiles". The crash is still reproducible without them.

Is there something like strace for mac that I could do to give you more insight?

I just tried a folder that has nothing but a single jpg in it, not even hidden files. It still crashes.

Yes. It doesn't even matter if I open an image, it crashes when I close the main gallery tab as well (without opening any images).

I'm browsing my folders and opening an image. I can browse through them, but when I try to close a tab, XnViewMP instantly crashes. The version is 0.81.
