Would be nice if XnView MP was updated with the latest version of JpegXL.

Unable to save 16bit WebP
Title pretty much sums it up, but basically, if you open a 16bit PNG and save it as a Lossless webp, it is downconverted to 8bit automatically without informing you. I would prefer to be able to save a 16bit Lossless WebP with Alpha channel.

Double clicking .webp simply opens an empty XnView MP Window
Hi, I don't know if I've got a corrupted install of Windows 10, but, I figured I'd report this as a bug to see if others have experienced the same issue.
Problem:
When trying to open a .webp file from a Windows File explorer (or Directory Opus - tested both), WebP refuses to view. I just get an ...

Re: XnViewMP 0.79 x64 Open file very slow :(
I can confirm, XNView MP takes like, 10 seconds to open any file when double clicking from Explorer (in my case, I use Directory Opus File Manager).
Solution:
I downgraded from Version 0.88 to 0.85, and the problem resolved itself immediately. XNViewMP now opens up lightning fast. I made sure to ...

Display a warning whenever saving an image changes the bits per channel, or the number of channels.
Basically, whenever you save an image with XNView, you never quite know for sure what your resulting bits/channel or the total number of channels is going to be until after you've reopened the image for inspection.
So, as a safeguard, any time the user saves as an image format that forces the bits ...

Show "Bits Per Channel" in the Status Bar instead of Total Bits
Hi, I noticed that XNview MP Shows the total bits of all the channels. So, an 8 bit RGB image is 24 bits, and an 8 bit RGBA image is 32 bits. I find this to be rather unintuitive because at a glance, looking at the total bits per image requires doing a bit of breakdown to determine the bits per ...
