Images opened with XnView are shown on a flat solid color background. The user can chose what that color is. Being in 2019, flat solid backgrounds are as primitive as cavemen. Allow users to set their own image pattern as background. There are options of noise, checkers, gradients...

Status bar pops up misplaced when deleting in specific setup
Specific setup: status bar hidden, menu bar hidden as well, through "[Hidden]§MenuBar=1" in the INI file.
Action: deleting a picture in XnView.
Resulting bug: the status bar pops up, and on top of that, misplaced.

Thanks. It was not checked, which is how it comes by default. Checking it fixes the coloring. To know more about the option, I went to read this topic. This many years later, does keeping it checked still make images load slower? I don't notice much difference in loading speeds.

Apparently wrong coloration for this one picture
XnView seems to be the only program that displays the picture of roses found on this page with a dull or dead coloring, instead of the bright coloring that the picture has. Can we look into this? Hopefully you see this issue on your end just as I see it here. Thank you.
