I discovered that it’s not just one character causing the crash; in addition to "耀" (U+8000), "耄" (U+8004) also leads to a crash.
As mentioned earlier, the crash only occurs when using an input method, while pasting these characters does not cause a crash.

You set in XnView coding 2x2, 1x1, 1x1.
Look on file size and info about file.
I'm not sure if this is the key to the problem as cjpegli.exe also saves Subsampling as 2x2,1x1,1x1.
I set the quality to 90%, but the quality of the output image is still poor, as you can see from the screenshot of ...

I found one particular file that definitely causes a crash once it is saved as a jpegli. Both the save as action and the batch conversion action. Saving it as another format is not a problem.
