ok. after doing more testing, Autocrop IS working for some images, but NOT for others (the ones i want to do of course). it was only after i started testing different images in other Folders that i saw that it was working fine for them; so now the question is why not for any of the ones i want ...

As i suspect many people would like to do, i want to resize the image CANVAS to a exact cm (or mm/in) size WITHOUT resizing the image

i can find the cm option (not just pixels); BUT even if I deselect keep proportions, it resizes the image as well as the canvas

Is there a way (even if not in XN ...

having downloaded zip and copied the FaceTag folder into the ../AddOn dir, the Face Tag option didn't work; then i realized that you have to select (and tag) INDIVIDUAL photos!

well, that is not going to happen.

pls compare digiKam, although it is not perfect in operation

i just found digiKam too difficult and clunky and confuising and time-consuming to understand and use.
i gave up on it, although it seems to have a lot of functionality

so here i am

it is a pity that the devs don't seem to have any idea about how to design an easy to understand and use UI

well, it would be a good idea if the (very small) Donations worked.

also i sould suggest imbedding it in every Product page, AND under Support

i really loive thgis app and am trying to get used to it

i particularly love the Layouts tab and the Panels tab

but what i haven't been able to work out yet from all the options is how to get the exact layout i want.

i want FOUR visible Panels, but i can only seem to arrange three

it is unclear to me about how to selectively select input files.

in this task, i want to convert all *webp files to JPG. that is all.

1. i want to search/include all sub-folders. does XnConvert automatically include sub-folders?
2. i want to filter for just *.webp files. i do seem able to do that ...

i am confused. there is something i obviously do not know/understand about image files

i do not understand why files can have same size image and resolution, but different file sizes, or different variations of that issue
