Instead of oening XNview normally, you can click on a file in Windows Explorer that is associated with XNview, and XNview will open in Cascade mode automatically (provided that your INI file has the line MaximizeViewWhenOpen=0).

I installed Version 1.82.4 into a new directory in Program Files. However, the xnview.ini file was loaded into C:\Documents and Settings\~\Application Data\XnView\ and so must have replaced the xnview.ini file for Version 1.96.1.

I can run both versions OK, but Version 1.96.1 now has auto ...

I am working with Version 1.96.1 and I too would like to use auto-cascade. Has the ini entry been included yet?
