The newest version of OpenOffice has now a preview plugin (since oo3.2).
oo preview and thumbnails should therfore work 'out of the box'.

winXP:
oo Thumbnails and preview are working fine.

oo3.2 is not in the distribution yet, must be installed ...

pdf preview and thumbnails don't work, if the filename has spaces.

Only the Linux-version is affected, windows-version works fine.

pdf preview is and was working here under Linux too, which took quite a while for me to realize ;-).

The reason for not showing pdfs under Linux here is the unability to handle filemames with spaces. All my tested pdfs had spaces in their filenames and therefore did not show. Writing a new bug ...

The problem is caused by file blocking by AdobeReader or the Adobe preview plugin.

1. Go to a pdf-folder, all pdfs show as thumbnails just fine.
