With the new B6 'sort by Image width": it is arranged in order of width, then secondarily by name. The 2 new options in are right, allowing to sort easily by Portrait/Landscape. With 'sort by Image size': it is arranged in order of width, then secondarily by height. Is this one (the way it works) s...

Batch rename: using the Directory field

If you select "Directory" as a field to use in the renaming template you get something useless: "C-\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\..." The column after the drive letter is replaced already but not the backlash. I understand that a user can take profit from the Replace option but it's ...

Sort by image size actualy sort by width

In the browser view, when using the sort tool there is an option to sort by image size. It looked useful to classify images from different sources but actualy not. Tell me if I'm wrong but I understand it as resolution in nb of pixels so an image 639x481 should be placed after one in 640x480: 639 x ...

Closer to a path to reproduce: The good news is it's linked to the printer. On my desktop at home (XP-SP2/Epson RX500 whatever on or off) I can reproduce 99% (see bellow). If I change the default printer to Windows FAX, I can't. Just switching from one printer to the other, open Xnview select a pic...

I agree there could be some improvement there. As time goes, fixing date/time offset occurs very often, particularly for events where you get pictures sourced from 2 or more cameras... I like the idea of checkboxes for the target of the change and the radiobuttons to select the source. On the design...

Last trials to reproduce. I was unhappy because even me I was unable to reproduce on my PC with B4  No need to select more than one picture, no need to close XnView if the printer dialog opened once (contrary of what I said initialy) B4 or B5 has the same problem. So How To: download a fres...

Strange. Yesterday at home it occurs every time, whatever the picture, folder,... It just occurs once per XnView session: If you select a single picture for printing and close the print dialog, then any further attempt to print will be successful. You have to close the application and select 2 or mo...

Print dialog and options for layout

Hi Helmut, I fully support the option of a page optimized printing for multiple images and the selection via a checkbox. Now still the question what should be the default layout 8) Regarding the naming: I thing that Thumbnails speaks by itself (could be the default values to show smaller pictures 3*...

A different way to extract movie frames

Yes I understand it could be a challenge to manage those errors. This may add complexity for few case. So why not allowing a select/copy of the image from the Viewer, as for any picture ? This could simply reports the problem to the Viewer section where errors are currently well managed. It has othe...

Managing stream errors when using Extract Movie Frames

On some video clips, when sliding the cursor from left to right some part of the stream is not shown. At a point, moving further doesn't display the next image (same image when moving the cursor). Going further to the end we can see the rest of the clip. In the browser as well as in full screen mode...

Batch Rename is unable to correctly pull dates from EXIF

I tested in Beta 3 and the result is the same. It looks like the batch rename feature uses the columns to identify date, month, hour, minute,... and so is lost when extracting the date/time from EXIF data. The property pane in v1.90 reports the dates and time correctly, with the columns visible (raw...
