Do you mean, activate preview in the "Custom filter" would also allow to see the video in view mode ?
It's not ideal in term of logic / ergonomic for the setup menu.
If it's an option to activate autoplay in Browser and in view mode, I would not add another option (yet) and let the user start play ...

Re: Info about XnView's settings (store & load)
I'm back with the question of the actual path used by the system (Windows 7 as an example). I put a message some time ago but apparently it didn't triggered that much attention. Further comments were posted with information not verified, assuming that nothing have changed in the Windows world 8 ...

Re: MP and video clips - Some deficiencies
From my initial list I would like to prioritise one improvement. Currently this is one that sticks me to the use of the (old) XnView when running an automatic slideshow.
- The delay in a slideshow is set via an option (I usually set to 5000 ~ 15000 ms*). Unfortunately, the duration of video clips ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required
I think both exists already in the menu. It's just the current behavior which is not accurate:
There are 2 options related to this but no combination allows a true choice:
- In Browser > File List > Custom filter: option "Show in preview" should apply only for the Browser Preview Pane (to allow ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required
Still in v. 0.72. Can we have these options changed so playing videos in the small Explorer Preview Pane can be disabled while keeping the possibility to play them in Full Screen?

Re: There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation
If you don't know there are 2 options in the menu or if you are confused with the actual meaning / feature behind each option you may think your pictures are just fine whereas they may not! - or they could be shown fine on your machine with XnView and wrong on another machine / on a phone / a TV set ...

Re: Rotation and EXIF Orientation field
Hello Pierre,
I just come back from another trip and I realised that this tissue still exist. I had to use the (old-standard) version of XnView :(
This time I double-checked with external EXIFtool and with old Xnview. After rotation in view mode, and save, the EXIF data stills "Orientation: Rotate ...

Re: View modus shows wrong picture
I installed the new Mac OS X release of XNViewMP (0.69).
I observe that the issue described in this thread also appears version 0.69.
Same with Windows 7. I checked with both a change in saturation and a rotation. Opening the modified picture with XnView classic shows the change was well applied ...

Re: Improve wording of buttons "cancel" and "Abort"
Change timestamp:
After Write all is clicked (and the changes are applied), change the Cancel button to Close.
(Probably leave the Cancel button as it is when only Write (single file) is clicked)
Even for a single file, if "Write" was clicked it's too late to cancel anything. The Cancel button ...

Dynamic Histogram
In View or Full screen mode, we can we have an histogram of the picture by just pressing H. This is great but in the current version of XnViewMP, it's a static graph linked to the file content.
Problem is when doing adjustments the graph doesn't change. To evaluate the result of an adjustment we ...

Re: There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation
I made this proposal as I had this problem of pictures not showing as I expected in an application and I spent time to analyse how these 2 options interacts. Let's think of real workflows:
The default option after fresh install is "Rotate according to EXIF orientation" and do not "Change EXIF ...

same on fullscreen, videos are filtered out
That's right, in the case you have a mix of photos and videos and you open a photo in View mode. From there, switching to full screen, the videos are filtered-out.

There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation
There are 2 options linked to image orientation. This generates some misunderstanding from a user viewpoint. I wonder if they could be grouped together or even best, merged.
