Re: Playing Video clips - When required

same on fullscreen, videos are filtered out
That's right, in the case you have a mix of photos and videos and you open a photo in View mode. From there, switching to full screen, the videos are filtered-out.
If you open a photo or a video in Full Screen from the browser, it plays and you can ...

There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation

There are 2 options linked to image orientation. This generates some misunderstanding from a user viewpoint. I wonder if they could be grouped together or even best, merged.

In the field, application displays images in 2 ways. By application I mean Digital photo frames, mobile phones of various ...

Can you check this for next version? There is something wrong with the EXIF Orientation field.
- Opening a JPEG image in View mode, make a Rotation left or right and close/save the image change the picture orientation :) but leaves the original value unchanged in the EXIF Orientation field :( . I ...

Re: USB stick not detected

This is an issue with Windows as well and probably with all platforms. I posted a bug report as "Detection of removable drive" some month ago. I mentioned also a workaround that may help diagnose the root cause of the problem:

Indication of saturated areas in a picture

Some cameras does this: Showing saturated areas in the image so you know that you should select a different setup and take another picture.
The pixels where the numeric values reaches 253-255 are blinking in shades of greys, indicating near-saturation. Why not having this feature embedded in XnView ...

Re: adjust color temperature within XnViewMP

Back to the original request... Think that one or more files has/have a wrong White Balance and/or another one (or more) photo(s) was shoot with Automatic WB and he wants to give it a warmer/cooler tone.

This is a frequent issue with digital cameras: For whatever reason the processor selects an ...

Playing Video clips - When required

Currently (v0.64), videos can be played in the Browser Preview Pane and in Full Screen but there is no way to enable playing in one and disable in the other.

There are 2 options related to this but no combination allows a true choice:
- In Browser > File List > Custom filter: option "Show in ...

Change Timestamp - Update values in the dialog after a Write

When multiple files are selected there is a risk of erroneous changes due to pressing the "Write" or "Write All" buttons multiple time.

Proposed improvement: After having pressed either Write buttons:
1) The values should be updated in the dialog, showing the date/time change was applied
2) The ...

Re: Suggestions for improving the Change Timestamp dialog

... is there any special need for having the "noop" item in that dropdown?

Pierre can you consider adding it back in XnView MP?

The no-op - or "=" as we may name it - is very usefull for copying exiting right values while keeping the previous offset in memory for later changes. In MP (current 0 ...

Re: Can not save my own configuration

Yet didn't try latest but version 2.13 / Windows 7 works fine as long as the option to store XnView.ini is set to "User". The issue is where the option is set to either "XnView" or "Windows" and users do not have admin-rights on the system . These options should allow all users of the system to ...

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work

Here it is.
I selected a single picture from the samples provided with Windows. In the background you can see the thumbnail, with the (EXIF) Picture Taken date and the file modification date. The file properties are visible as well. I selected file modification as well as 2 EXIT date to be changed ...

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work

Hi Pierre,
It's not related to a specific file or file format (jpeg, txt, mov,...). This issue can be tested with any sample picture included in the standard Windows distribution.

When it happened on Saturday evening I tried with various collections of pictures and single files. I tried also on my ...

For some unidentified reason it happens the feature doesn't work at all.

Select one or more picture, open the Change timestamp dialog, use the File modified date as source, add or substract say 1 day 1 hour and 5 minutes, select file modification date or EXIF date taken or whatever. Press "Write ...

I checked with another machine, same issue. Both are running Windows Seven.

I cleaned the database to see if the issue comes from there but no improvement.
