Hope this title make sense:)
Ok here is what I mean.
Lets say I have a bunch of pictures (any fileformat) that I want to process with the batch processing (change the size to 1200x800 for example). In the preview window I can see either the original or the resized version (before/after).
As output ...

Re: Rating Raw Files
I don't have LR so I don't know how LR handles XMP sidecar files but there is an option in the XNviewMP settings that writes XMP sidecar files to your RAWs. Ratings are included in the XMP files.

Re: Settings -> Thumbnails -> Labels: Focus Distance
Well it is recorded. You can find the value (in this case 0.79m) under the tag 'Focus Distance' in the MakerNotes (exiftoolGUI told me its the tag 0x000a FocusDistance). I downloaded the photo from above and tried it with different tags with and without spaces etc but without luck.

Measure Tool
Hi, my feature request is a measure tool. In Viewer mode the selection tool can be used to measure objects in a photo and the coordinates plus the lenght and hight is displayed in the status bar.

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Apature, Shutterspeed, Focalleng
Here are a few. The shutterspeeds are 1sec, 1/5th, 1/10th and 1/100th (yes the pics are completly black to save upload time).
EDIT: I just realized by checking EXIF data from random other cameras (net downloads) that Shutter speed and Exposure time are exactly the same on some cameras but on other ...

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Apature, Shutterspeed, Focalleng
I did as you said and erased the line on xnview.ini on 0.75beta and......
NICE!
1. All columns are there again
2. Focal Length and aperture is now in a correct order.
but the shutterspeed is still not ordered correct.
Thank you so far!!

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Apature, Shutterspeed, Focalleng
Yes cause the screenshots were made with version 0.72. The post about the missing columns is about the 0.75betas
so again:
0.72 = wrong sorting (columns are visible)
0.75beta = columns after ISO not visible

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Apature, Shutterspeed, Focalleng
I can't test the sorting of shutterspeed or aperture cause the view mode "detailed" in the browser doesn't show anything after the ISO column (although it is set to show ALL columns).

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Apature, Shutterspeed, Focalleng
issue is still there...well not like before but the 0.75beta and the new 0.75beta from today (11.06) both doesn't show any EXIF data columns after "ISO" (next in line would be shutter-speed BTW)
again thanks for your work

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Apature, Shutterspeed, Focalleng
Sorry for the delay.
Here are two examples.
shutter speed 1/10 is much slower than 1/1024. 1/12, 1/128 etc are still slower but are sorted after the 1/1024 so the sorting is wrong.
Same goes for the pic of the focal length sorting
thanks

Sorting: EXIF metadata (Aperture, Shutterspeed, Focallength)
WinXP, XNView 0.72
I sometimes like to sort the photos by increasing or decreasing EXIF metadata like shutterspeed or focal length but the sorting doesn't work as it should (IMO :))
For example: a picture with the focal length of 18mm will get sorted between 179 and 181 and or for shutter speed ...

Auto Exif Rotate (process only files that need to be)
As the user in this xnview classic thread
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 4&p=124316
I really would like to see xnviewMP processes only the files that need to be processed.
Hope that this fit into your Road Map
Thank you!

CR2 question
Hi, a few weeks ago I've bought my first DSLR (Canon SL1 / 100D). I photographed jpeg in the past with my old camera but now I want to switch to the RAW format (in case of my camera = CR2).
I made a few pictures and everything is fine with developing the CR2 files with the canon software DPP BUT ...

Re: Two questions from a beginner
Hi,
1. There are two way to get to the fullscreen view. Either you change the behaviour of doubleclick in the options menu : F12 then Interface or you simply change your workflow a bit and hit F11 when you want to switch to fullscreen (thats what I did and to my surprize it wasn't a big deal. After ...

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the rotate in the batch menu is lossless.
