*bump*
I am bumping this because I cannot use XnviewMP to delete and move files.
I cannot use Windows Explorer as these files have ratings and categories assigned.
I need a solution for this.
Edit: It just happened again: I dregged one file to another folder. This time it worked. Then I went into ...

Bug or Feature?
When you enter a folder and select to show all pictures recursively. And then when you select one picture and double click it.
After that you close the picture and you see the explorer again, but no more recursive anymore. You only see the current folder.
It would be much better if you close the ...

Re: High cpu load
No, This does not happen with 0.72.
I can start 0.72 in the huge folder. It starts up and has cpu load of 50% and doing some work but then it drops to 0% !!!!
With 0.75 it seems that these start up task never stop and it keeps utilizing the cpu in the background.

0.75 Hangs a lot
Despite high cpu load the application hangs a lot.
When I look into task manager while it hangs Remote Procedure Call are at arount 50%. When xnviewmp stops hanging, RPC call drops back to 0%.

Re: High cpu load
After some more investiation to me it looks like whe I startup xnviemp with a huge folder of files then it keeps doing some background things on startup an I can see the memory consumption rise without touching xnviemp.
When I start with a folder with few files, cpu stays low, memory consumption ...

Re: High cpu load
I was trying to knock it down a bit more. From what I see right after launching XnvieMP I have natural spikes of cpu load as the application starts.
Then it is about 45% which is fine.
However even after the application has been started and I switch into a folder with just 2 images, I keep having ...

Donating for a beta?
I am spending time with this application as tester and try to write down thoughtful bug and feature requests or general observations to improve this software. That´s it and there is no need trying to devaluate that.

A general observation
I hope I am wrong but I am noticing a downwards spiral with this great software. From what I feel it is getting worse with every new release. Old bugs remain, new bugs get added.
But what is even worse now, even most basic operations do not work reliably anymore. I have opened several tickets ...

Folder tree not reflecting changes
Within the folder tree pane I moved a subfolder to another folder. While the folder showed at the new location the old folder still showed so it appeared that it was still there.
Only restarting XnviewMP finally removed the left over folder from the folder tree.

Categories doubled
With category pane open set to categories (the one with the checkmarks), suddenly I noted that one category was displayed twice in the category tree.
After closing XnvieMP and restarting the duplicate has been gone.
