Can anyone recommend some AI tool for image recognition. First step would be easy to recognizse and eliminate full black images.
Future steps might be recognizing content and maybe even pass it to XnviewMP for categorizing.
Never done anything with Ai before so I have no idea where to start.

Yes, only catalog.xnview wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 10:18 am you don't use embedded metadata or sidecar, only catalog, right?

Re: Selecting multiple files by mouse
Problem is when you click on a file, drag&drop starts
Have you changed something? Because of this: https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=40065
When I press CTRL in my Xnviemp then I have the selection rectangle even if the mouse is over a file.
However as stated in the bug report ...

Re: Data Loss! Cut and paste selected files
I have tried with tiff-files. But I cannot reproduce it.
I had some duplicates in the target folder as suggested and the duplicate warning popped up. Inspection of target and source folders show all files.
However there is another bug: In the duplicate warning dialog I selected "delete" from the ...

By "tag" you mean categorise?dunntry wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2020 10:17 am What you need to do is re-create the test scenario:

Re: Move to not working
I think I have solved my own issue.
It seems that I had set the destination folder as "excluded" in the catalog settings. Not so obviously this setting seems to not display any rating, or tagging. So when a rated or categorised file is moved into there, this information is not displayed.

Dragging not copying again
This bug existed before: https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=30379
Currently:
1. Dragging a file moves it
2. CTRL + dragging produces a selection square
3. Shift + dragging moves file
I think it should be better if:
1. Dragging a file moves it
2. CTRL + dragging COPIES it
3. Shift ...

Re: Data Loss! Cut and paste selected files
I tagged a hundred files, then selected them, and cut them to paste them into another folder.
Strangely, I started getting messages that there were duplicates in the target folder (I don't think there were), so I was offered a choice to delete the left or right file, which I did for a few ...

I think number of categories is the problem here. Have you tried with less catgories?

This is more aspirational suggestion, rather than a request for something small that could be implemented easily, but would love to be able to get a better idea of video content like the below. Something better than the current situation where you get 4 screenshots and more often than not the ...

Re: [0.94] Annoying mouse scrolling bug
It seems to be tied to a setting in xnview.ini.xnview wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2019 10:30 am i can't reproduce. You have always this problem? Windows 10?
With thumbPadding=1 and above, scrolling is normal.
With thumbPadding=0 the scrolling shows the error.

Re: Stars deleted when deleting thumbnail cache
so you use only catalog to store rating, right?
'Delete all' delete ALL entries, not only thumbnails. For thumbnails, you have 'optimize...'
I was not aware of this either. Until now I believed that these setting have effect on the thumbnail cache not the entire catalog information.
The ...

[0.94] Annoying mouse scrolling bug
I think it started with 0.93. In browser view when scrolling to the bottom of a folder either by mouse wheel, scroll bar or keyboard the mouse wheel ceases to work and I can no longer scroll back up with it. This is thumbnail view and it seems that somehow the mouse gets locked displaying the last 3 ...

Re: Search in folder names
It would not only be handy to search in folder names, but also in category names. So that you type a category name into the search field and it returns the files that have this category attribute with them too.
