For me KatMouse uses the middle button, on all my computers, and also on those of my friends, and nothing in this world will bring me to remove this phantastic functionality just to close XnView tabs - that should have an x.
So basically you are cutting out default mmb functionality from all ...

IMHO this is somewhat ridiculous. There should be just one option called 'Preload Caching'. The fact that this functionality is not fully working (means as every normal user would expect), but is only partially implemented, is no reason to come up with three options and a cluttered settings dialog ...

for me too, a MMB ( a middle mouse click button) is the best solution to close a Tab
sure thing, so count me in.

... I'm afraid we really might have to buy Pierre a 3 button mouse to get all these mmb request addressed though ;)

I'm going to add onto this more support for modifier keys like ctrl/shift/alt to be used in conjunction with mousewheel, and allowed to be assigned to different actions.
Yeah totally agree...
this is a common and recurrent wish around here.
Somehow I feel like there is some resistance surrounding ...

I means is it useful to have a view synchronized to the browser?
yes.
single way sync (viewer > browser) like it currently implemented.

on a side note I'd make sure the browser preview and the synchronized tab do not share the same cache.
currently while image A is in the viewer tab, select image ...

that would be just wonderful indeed.
Here is a floating point .rpf file for testing as well.

also .rpf being a format that is condemned to disappear sooner or later in favor of exr.
it would be great to see this functionality accessible for exr files as ...

Yes a great suggestion, i'll check if it's possible easily
Great news..
it might easy.. or not, but as far as I'm concerned this is the number one issue that could make xnview finally usable for me (and probably not only me)

I'd be surprise to see anyone voting for the "make me wait longer (loose ...

v0.12 Win32: exit fullscreen > window get minimized.

on vista 64:
exiting full screen viewer mode (F11) always restore the main window to it's un-maximized state (size and position).

2. Buttons on Browser dividers
Personally, I wouldn't bother with these if this is a headache to implement with qt libs.
I've never been a big fan of theses, their usability is really questionable.
I'm tempted to believe that retractable panels might be a better alternative for that purpose (cf ...

I don't understand. Why change the behavior from XnView 1.95 and ask users to learn new, specialized behavior just for the MP version?

Agree that behavior should probably be consistent between xnview and MP.
yet I'm all up to any ergonomics improvements that can be made to both.
and more ...

Pierre,

Please consider using some standard default shortcuts for such thing.
ctrl+alt+o is not user friendly. it's a 2 step action it requires you to make a selection first (drop the mouse) and use you 2 hands to alt+ctrl+o.

why not have a simple ctrl+dblclick to open in new tab.
also middle ...

a few difference here:
.scroll wheel direction is inverted in xnviewMP - scrolling down plays previous file instead of next file.
.when exiting fullscreen view the main window does not stay maximized.
.there is no way of going full screen with middle mouse bt (wheel bt).
.there is still no way of ...

(Times are not respresentative of reality)
Indeed, everybody is aware that acdsee will complete the whole process in less time actually.
but ACDSee *feels* faster because images display as they're being loaded
I'd say this is actually much much more than a feeling:
being able to preview ...

I would just like to encourage you once again with xnviewMP development ...
