I just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one with this issue.
I don't have a step by step to reproduce but it happens about 50% of the time.
F12 > make any changes > click OK > xnview crashes after a short delay.

MP 0.38 viewer stuck in low-res preview
first thing I noticed with 0.38 (not sure about 0.35 since I haven't tested it much).
on large files (4000px wide jpeg) the viewer often get stuck in low-res preview.
happens when navigating quickly (prev/next) a folder containing several consecutive large file.
idea: going to prev file on a file ...

Re: PngOptimizer (Freeware)
Ken Silverman's PNGOut or Cosmin Truta's OptiPNG are better in my humble opinion. I didn't try the command-line version, but the GUI one is really awful.
I have to disagree, here is a short comparaison I did (win 7 x64|i7 980x|24GB RAM)

Re: Android and Iphone (IOS) version...
Don't want to ruin the party here but given the fact that there is only a single man behind xnview, xnviewmp, xnconvert,.. developpement & support.
I think it would be a terrible idea for Pierre to add yet another project... unless he want's to give up on xnviewMP

Re: MP 0.35 Win Full screen on main monitor not working.
I believe the issue is not about xnview being slow, but about xnviewMP fullscreen mode not working as it should when using multi-view displays.xnview wrote:You select a thumbnail, press F11 and it's slow?PBY wrote:XnviewMP 0.35 Browser -> F11xnview wrote:By using what?

Re: XnViewMP Dual Monitor
At moment it seems only the preview pane is able to go on 2nd monitor.
if using fullscreen via F11 > viewer on second screen (great never noticed that before :))
from browser : view> fullscreen / F11 / middle mouse button :
All opens the full screen viewer on my second monitor.(no matter on ...

Re: Converting from exr, tif and psd to jpeg - white backgro
I guess it's safe to assume that alpha channel should be ignored when converting to formats not providing any support for alpha channels.
by filling the rbg with a plain color with the alpha channel will more than often result in data loss.

Re: A New XnView Website
Do you think that a website for XnViewMP must be available even if it's always a beta, with not all features??
If yes, on which domain?
My take on the subject is quite simple, don't confuse the user, what I would do:
a single domain name under which all software would be accessible (I would not ...

Re: A New XnView Website
as a side note. the "vote for a feature" link at the bottom of the page was inspired by an interesting feature request/voting web service I discovered recently (used by one of my favorite text editor: SublimeText).

Re: Types of Resampling
Photoshop would probably be the last application I'd use as a reference when it comes to resampling algorithms.
heck it doesn't even mention the algorithms used behind their bicubic, bicubic (sharper) and bicubic (smoother) methods.
