Hi, What is the best type of resampling to convert images to jpg? What could be the equivalent of "bicubic (best for smooth gradients) of photoshop?"

Photoshop would probably be the last application I'd use as a reference when it comes to resampling algorithms.
heck it doesn't even mention the algorithms used behind their bicubic, bicubic (sharper) and bicubic (smoother) methods.
