In the latest version there is some issue with the font, because it shows spaces where it doesn't exist.
It's consistent, but I don't understand the reason.. it seems caused by some combinations?
For example:
base
ba se
evergarden
everg ard en
forgotten
forg otten
giovanna
giova nna
halloween ...

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.
If I convert the JPG to PNG, the colors end up the same, instead.
There must be something different in the first PNG, despite Firefox displaying them identical.
EDIT:
I see that original has Adobe RGB , whilst the converted one has sRGB !
Maybe that's the reason, even if I dunno why I'm the only ...

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.
I'm confused.. I tried creating BMP screenshots from XnviewMP of JPG+PNG files with & without ICC and they're all different :\
The 2 ICC colors are more similar between them, but in theory the default JPG color should the right one

Re: XnViewMP v1.5.3 x64 - GIF animations often not playing
Err.. nvm, I tried various things, like deleting the catalog and reinstalling the program and now the GIFs seem to work again.
Weird bug.

Thanks. Solved, I guess..

Thanks for replying, guys.
I have an old Win7 (yeah..), but it should be supported.
GIFs worked before in XnViewMP and still do in Firefox.

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.
Perhaps go in XnViewMp folder and rename xnviewmp.ini to something else and then start program again with clean settings and see if still going to notice any differences.
Done, but I got the same result. So weird..
Maybe it could be because I'm using an old Windows 7, but in theory XnviewMp ...

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.
@phaolo: Is the colour difference you are seeing present when the images you posted are viewed on the forum?
When images are uploaded some metadata may possibly be lost, I'm afraid I can't elaborate, does anyone know?
If you don't see the difference, attaching the original files in a ZIP or ...

XnViewMP v1.5.3 x64 - GIF animations often not playing
Hello, I've upgraded XnViewMP from v1.5.0 to v1.5.3 and I suddenly have a problem with GIF animations.
I can't reproduce it consistently, but they tend to not play anymore most of the times (I just see an empty space even if the frames are advancing). :?
If I'll find more info I'll let you know ...

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.
Interesting thread, even if I get a different result.
PNG colors become dull (in a wrong way) for me if I don't use my monitor's ICC profile (in system).
(I wonder if it changes automatically if I move Xnview's windows to a secondary display)

Browsing view - keep the same % ratio for panels
I resize or move XnviewMp's window a lot (e.g: to other screens, also vertical).
The problem is that the program doesn't keep the ratio of the panels in the browsing view.
So, panels on the right become too small or too large every time, and I have to resize the left ones (until the next move).

Re: 1.3: incorrect PNG transparency in the viewer
I created a test pic, a simple black circle over a transparent background, and the result is already a mess.
(btw, my first test with a rectangle was actually fine)
