[*] If the preview area is too small, the video controls get covered up. Maybe the controls shouldn't be centered below the preview area but left aligned, so you're always able to reach the start and stop buttons. Either that or put the basic controls in the middle.

I sent info about XnView to some "good software sites" too...
XnView was in top ten long time on one of these sites :)

I think more users use irfanview, it's not bad but it's very complicated... xnview is much better, very easy to use - for new users too, great all in one browser, great new ...

Thanks, could you check this...

Mouse double-click in viewer to go to browser...doesn't work if video is there...

And this too (it was somewhere before...)

Middle mouse button in fullscreen to leave fullscreen doesn't work, if video is there.

The double-click in viewer only seems to work for images, for videos it stops the video playing although single-click does the same.

Middle mouse button has never gone to fullscreen , I always get four arrows allowing me to move around the image with the mouse.
Maybe you need to configurate 3rd ...

I've got Win XP SP1, divX 5, Xvid 1, ffdshow and all videos in XnView 1.74 works fine ...

...avi, mpeg, mov, divX, Xvid, wmv, even mpeg2 and even HDTV!

XnView just loose focus if I go on mov file (no matter if thumbnails or details view - in browser only, not in viewer and fullscreen)

Yes, of course, but the best solution would be this:

select area with LMB and zoom in with LMB and zoom out with RMB (or reset zoom with LMB) - in fullscreen too
Switching and zooming with mouse only - with ...

Zoom in/out is possible with ctrl+scroll.

Also zoom with mouse only is possible, but only in viewer (not in fullscreen) and only zoom in - after selecting area and pressing left mouse button (no zoom out, even move to the next image with scroll is not possible)

I suggest - select area with LMB and ...
