Well, i'm also not a big fan of even more options. I think they're already filled to the brim and thus overwhelm the average user (an "expert" mode would be good, but that's another issue).
Why wouldn't the "occurrence" be fine without a max-width as you propose?
I see it as one line or sentence. If you uncheck it at the front, the whole thing is disabled. OK, but what if someone wants the other option and don't want the first one?? Does "Open folder in XNv" even work? It's a modal window, meaning that program window behind it is inaccessible until you ...
On the tabs: I only care for usability, and the only pro argument for a fixed width tab is that the close button would always be in the same spot. So if you had 3 tabs open, and you closed the left-most one, the others would slide to the left, and the new left-most tab's close button would be in the ...
8. There SHOULD be options in the settings to set a 'maximum tab width' so tabs don't become too wide; http://i48.tinypic.com/fllcnn.png and by default the max tab width should the same length as of the current first tab now Why? If there's enough space (as in: not many tabs open), why not make ...

The X looks like a D-pad of a joypad, and the N inside the X reminds me a bit of the Nintendo N64 N. The design mark now looks a bit like a spiked lemon. Just to give you some feedback... no offense.
Doesn't seem to do anything. The labels for the in- and output color profiles say the default is sRGB. But if i convert a CMYK TIFF file into a RGB JPEG one, it still has the TIFF's ICC profile, according to XnView itself. In fact: if i open the generated JPEG in Photoshop, it tells me the embedded ...
Some of the filters that have the black, white and expansion limit seem to have the wrong range of values. Take the map -> normalize setting for example.
They 3 settings all don't seem to change anything in the image above a value of 99, but you can set it as high as 255. It says "%" after the ...
In WinXP SP3 the folders in the folder tree pane are not being sorted alphabetically. But that only seems to happen for FAT32 partitions. My NTFS partitions are being sorted from a-z.
Configuring the custom file list filters does nothing for me in the thumbnail view. It always shows all the files. The quick filter (images, videos, ...) work though.
