usually it is not enabled, but enabling it specifically does not help, the thumbnail (after 'rebuild' command) and the image in viewer remain wrong.

p.s.
TIF RGB + JPEG compression are displayed correctly
TIF CMYK +JPEG cpr - wrong
TIF CMYK LZW - ok
TIF CMYK and RGB, ZIP - ok

TIFF CMYK with JPEG compression wrong display

Image
TIF files saved in Photoshop may have JPEG compression which is very handy. However XnView displays such files wrongly in case it is CMYK TIF with JPEG compression.

Incremental typing file navigation

I am a newbie to XnView, I have a trouble - XnView's default behaviour when you type a file name is beyond my understanding - every letter typed in (however fast) takes selection to a new file instead of standard lists behaviour which is incremental navigation.

I expect this: typing "A11561" will ...

alas, acdsee is way too slow browsing archives, that's why I switched to XnView

but, 1.91 has ignored this outrageous bug and still takes to temp folder.

and furthermore it crashed in some zips I have unless I remove unused plugins: Xbmf, Xcompound, Xeri, Xfif, Xfpx, Xiwc, Xjbig, Xjng, Xjp2 ...

::Sane AcquireInto...current folder, autoset StartIndex::

invoke AcquireInto Dialog, set folder to current, analyze index and set it to skip existing files (or 1)
The script is currently launched by Alt-A from XnView window, AltShiftA - "select twainSource" - keyboard shortcuts can be easily changed in the code

well, I needed this one badly, here it is ...

::Full keyboard control is here::

FIRST STEP TO ACHIEVE THE TOPIC's GOAL

The script provides some ('full' is up to you, see in the code) control of XnView via customizable keyboard shortcuts
Customizing is done via editing code below. Save it as "XnViewKeys.AHK", download AutoHotKey and install it to run this script (just double ...

Ideal Acquire TWAIN (Scanner) dialog

I've used XnView 1.90.2 just for 3 months and I can be absolutely sure it is way more fast & cool and convenient than acdsee (for me). I've used acdsee v5 for five years, because it has the most convenient ScanMultipleImages dialog.
