Re: Please elaborate on "this picture will be converted to rgb ..."
Displaying a warning message when opening an image which only applies when saving/wirting the image really makes no sense.
XnView should remember that the original image has a larger colour range and right before saving the appropriate image a message can be displayed.

Re: Folders with subfolders in browser mode
Good to read that resetting the XnView configuration helped, Bronimus. XnView settings are supposed to be compatible between version but in few cases these aren't. Also, XnView offers heaps of settings and flexibility in configuration - this offers potential for misconfiguration.

Re: folders with subfolders in browser mode
Thank you, Bronimus, for your screenshots. I continue in English (and not in German) so that many people are able to read this and benefit.

Re: Clicking on selected item enters "rename" mode
Here's a screencast (screen video) which shows the difference between XnView Classic (first) and XnView MP (second):
Broken rename on second click

Re: folders with subfolders in browser mode
Thank you for your problem report, Bronimus. I cannot reproduce your problem. Which version of XnView MP do you use? Could you perhaps take a screen cast / screen video and post it here?

Re: View Mode-Add Send by Email
'send by mail' is only available in browser mode
Right, but in XnView Classic there is "Tools > Send by email..." in viewer mode which is missing in XnView MP. XnView MP is supposed to offer more and not less functionality than XnView Classic. See very related topic Can we have back image ...

Re: Licensing rules for changing from Classics to MP?
How are the Licensing rules for changing from Classics to MP? Are the defined somewhere (on the main page?)
When you have a license for XnView, it's for XnView Classic and XnView MP
That's what I call a generous licencing model. :) XnView is aournd for more than 20 years, now. The term ...

Re: Can we have back image compositor in MP?
Yes, I'm asking to return it back to main windows. I dont use browser mode ever and honestly, it took quite an effort to make it less naggy and annoying and less presenting/existing in MP.
Ah, o.k., so you were aware that the "Create > Strip of images" functionality is available in XnView, Kein ...
