Re: Exif timestamp, file date and catalog mismatch

Hmm, it might be fixed, but not optimally.

64-bit version, Windows 7.

Increment Exif:date taken (or any time) and the program spins its wheels for a while, becomes unresponsive, and in the meantime the task manager shows that the program has read and written approximately 700MB. This is roughly ...

Re: "Updating catalog" is stuck

I bit more information on the "progress" bar. I think I have seen why the results are different for different people.

The progress update only seems to happen when the scan goes to the next selected folder.
If I select 5 folders then I will see 5 steps. They are very uneven, because in that example ...

Re: 0.78: Search function - possible memory leak

Bonus :!: Not only is the memory leak fixed, but the speed of search is also much faster - 20 seconds to do what took 8 minutes previously. The IPTC is still faster than XMP - 8 seconds.

Re: Sorting: EXIF metadata (Aperture, Shutterspeed, Focallen

The "1.#J" is now replaced with zero, which matches the exif:shutterspeed value.

It does mean these sort in the wrong order (faster than the fastest shutter speed), but this will do until proper exposure times are used.

dramatic improvement in speed as well as reduction of number of bytes written.

As an example, I could no longer measure my test for 1000 files.

So I scanned 11000 files - in 9 seconds, and a total of about 9MB written.

Re: Categories: Non-selection actions & on-disk metadata

I tried to reproduce this but when I view a file and its properties in Explorer after applying a category to it said category does not show in its metadata. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
There are settings in Browser->Metadata->IPTC&XMP tab that allow you to synchronise keywords in the ...

Re: Make it easy to delete keywords rapidly

When importing images, sometimes I encounter images with a lot of spam tags. I haven't found a way to just delete all tags.

If there enough images and enough keywords then I find it useful to use the command line exiftool program.
It is very powerful, although it comes at a price of somewhat ...
