Re: "Must fixes" for next release
This is a real showstopper bug:

Re: keep the size of the browser window
Note that the option "Use different position/size for browser & view" has a severe showstopper bug. I have posted a report here:
1.94.2: Option "Use different position/size for browser
more than a year ago. The current version is now 1.97, but it has not been fixed yet. I really wonder where the ...

Re: Browsing via keyboard
In windows explorer, you have only + & -, no?
Yes, but an additional key won't harm, especially if it's intuitive.

How that?
If the focus is on a directory in the directory pane on the left and ...

Roadmap?
Is there a roadmap actually for the further development of XnView? If not, I think it would be a good idea to have one.
There should be a short list with the most important features to add and bugs to fix until the next milestone. The most important missing feature in my opinion would be the custom ...

'-' & '+' are the standard keys
But only on the numerical keypad! However, the Left and Right keys also work, and they are much more convenient. But perhaps Enter could also be added, because it's more intuitive in my opinion and can be used to toggle between open and closed.

Re: XnView download
So no minimal?
With "basic" I mean a minimal version. Then there should be extension modules that can be added. The complete version should contain the basic version and all extension modules.
It's not possible, many download server doesn't update the filename...
Really? Then I would ...

Browsing via keyboard
I'd like to suggest to improve the keybindings for browsing with the keyboard.

The download of XnView could be easier in my opinion.

Re: Rotate images based on EXIF orientation and auto-rotate
This option should not be placed under "General" but under "View" to make clear that it only affects the display. And it should be renamed to "Rotate images according to EXIF orientation tag".
Note that there is a rotation symbol if a rotated view is displayed. To rotate the image and change the ...
