Not really. But if the browser is set to ' Files of owner/My Pictures' it will reopen at 'My Files/My Pictures'. But these are identical on my machine, so...

This is somehow disappointing for me. Such a simple and useful feature and nobody is interested...well guys, I solved the problem myself. I rebuilt the xnview.db carefully by only adding the paths/folders that need to be in it. Then I set the read-only flag on this file. Fortunately XnView continues ...

Ok, I have to redo my statement. Working on a new notebook (one display) I just found out that the HQ zoom does not work in the full screen mode (F11). So this has nothing to do with one or two monitors. It's this special view mode that disables (lacks) the HQ function.

Is there no one else working on two monitors who can confirm or not confirm this issue?

I have seen this problem on 4 different computers so far, and someone else in this forum complained about it too. So I wonder if you really followed my description to reproduce this error. Without two monitor operation high quality zoom always works.

Thanks for pointing out this option (cool!).

But it does not solve the problem. Two examples:

- I open a file via TC in a directory but it is not the one I was looking for. To quickly find the correct one I hit Enter and the Fullscreen edit changes to browser mode. Exactly what I want, but now the ...

I asked this before and got no answer, so I try again:

Browser with thumbnails on left monitor full screen, currently selected picture on right monitor full screen (F11).

Why is the high quality zoom not working?

Enable caching but disable filling the cache

I wonder if I am the only one constantly bothered by this one. I use XnView in two ways:

- start a pic file via the Total Commander to see what it is. This happens in some different directories, like my download folder etc.

- having a library of all my personal digicam pics, use XnView to browse ...

And IMHO the german translation is both confusing and wrong.

Selected Files = Selektierte Dateien

Tagged Files = Markierte Dateien

Ok, but when it does all what you want why you want to get away from it?

Well, that sounds like what I wrote in a different thread before. The crash happens in a specific mode and only when changing between pictures and movies.

I see another problem here, don't know if this has been discussed before. The database gets blown up and fragmented all the time because there is one important feature missing (IMHO) - to be able to switch off caching, but still use the current database.

This way I would have full control, would ...
