Oh, I get it. So pictures are not completely loaded when we do a conversion from the thumbnail viewer, it is only when we open and load them in the viewer that the profile can be used.

I get an error message with a big red cross every time I want to move a selected picture to another folder when its preview has not been generated yet.
It's the same if for a bunch of selected pictures, if I drag from the image which is not shown in the preview.

OK, I see that in the older as well as in the current version, the color space info is lost in the generated/converted files: this is what you see in the properties panel, color space info absent upon conversion no matter what's the version.
However, adobeRGB Tiffs converted to jpegs using XV 1.93 ...
