Just ideas... I personally prefer more sub-menus (fewer options to look at at one time). Other people may have a different preference and want to see all of the individual options in one big long list. Even if you don't want such major changes, could you at least change the order of Cut/Copy/Paste? ...

RC5: Missing thumbnail after rename, change Metadata
This shouldn't happen very often, but still... 1) Rename an image that so that it DOES NOT have an extension. 2) Open the image. 3) Remove Metadata. (Or, if the image doesn't have any to start with, add IPTC data for the same result.) 4) Save the image. 5) Check back in browser to see missing thumbn...

RC5: Remove Metadata = Change Timestamp ?
I think removing metadata (IPTC, EXIF, or All) should NOT change the image timestamp. Right now, it does. What do other people think?

Anyone else getting incorrect icons? And when I mouse over, no hints either. (I thought it was a particular skin, but then I changed to default with the same results.)

RC5: Suggestions on Context menu in Browser
I suggest these changes (for a browser context menu that seems way too long and a bit unorganized...) FOR ONLY 1 IMAGE FILE SELECTED: Open Open With View in Fullscreen View in hex mode Print... ------------------- Cut Copy Copy image data Paste ------------------- JPEG Lossless transformations (Only...

RC5: No TWAIN source, so gray out options?
If I have no TWAIN sources hooked up to my computer, shouldn't the following menu items be grayed out?

A couple of other things I noticed with non-image files... (Perhaps a more thorough bug hunt is in order?) Select a non-image file in Browser. Then try these: * Tools -> Set as Wallpaper = Several options are NOT grayed out. At least they don't do anything either. * Tools -> Slide Show... Press OK. ...

Hmm, doesn't look like. I think I have all of those settings on their defaults, too. But this brings up another question... If I am in browser mode and press enter, this OPENS the selected image as expected. When I press enter again, this SWITCHES back to browser as expected. Then when I press enter...

1.81? REQ: Minor - Handling of images in Desktop folder
This is a situation that occurs when I open an image that is on my desktop (Windows XP), and then open the browser in XnView. In the folder pane, it jumps to the ACTUAL location of the Desktop folder, in this case "C:\Documents and Settings\John\Desktop\". The problem--although minor--is that this o...

RC5: Minor suggestions on FS Mode context menu
Shouldn't it just say "Previous" and "Next" rather than "Previous file" and "Next file"? Also, when you are viewing the first image in a folder, shouldn't "Previous" be grayed out to indicate this option is not available? Same thing for "Next" with the last file in a folder? Okay, sorry to get carri...

RC5: Double-click on non-image file locks up Xnview
From browser view, when double-clicking a file that is not an image, Xnview completely locks up. I've tested this on both a .zip file and an Excel file with the same result. (Both of these test files were about 1MB each.)
