In XnView it's really a bit strange to have a symbol in the toolbar for "Save as..". Not at all. I like the Save As button on the toolbar. I for one have always thought that Save right next to Save As on the dropdown menu in Windows was a boneheaded idea. One slip of the mouse and you overwrite you...

I also find that very irritating.

You're likely thinking of 1.31, (which I think was the best XnView).

Thanks, Clo. In over a year, maybe more, I'd never had a lockup until I tried to open up that image modified with Arcsoft. So I understand that other programs can alter the EXIF (?) and XnView has a problem with that. Actually I don't have or use use very many other image programs, just enough to wo...

I can't read French. 8)

I'm not sure this is a "must", but for me it does cause a specific and reproducible error message.

If it isn't related to images, leave it alone. More code means more bloat and likely more bugs.

Well, it's why I asked for a small number.

I have a program that'll give me at least 50 undos, and I'd never be able to remember what I did at step 12 anyway. :D

More UNDOs and REDOs

I'd like to see at least 5 undo levels.

Edit: Renamed from "more UNDO's" to "More UNDOs and REDOs". Dreamer.

It's the primary program I use for resizing, bumping the gamma, tweaking saturation, etc. From what I've seen it has the best crop tool around, hands down.

(I have Windows ME, so for what isn't in My Pictures I always customize any other image folders I create, for Image Preview).

I use Picture Window Pro for my serious editing of photos.

Now I'm confused as to why you would even advocate tiny previews, since you seem to prefer serious imaging tools. :?

I like XnView. Don't make it "too" easy.

You're actually able to make out critical changes in those little bitty boxes? :D And as for resetting the box, there are so many variations in images, especially gamma, which you'll see if you haunt image sites on the web for very long. Presets, (even yours), don't help much when the very next imag...

Re: don't get me wrong....

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to throw XnView in the "trash", no way, (which is why I'm still going to hold onto 1.74), but I can't recommend it to others any longer. The most useful features are now corrupted beyond reasonable use, that's all. Why preview is a problem? I think that it's a good ...
