Re: Ximagic Quantizer
Good day. I have found what it seems to be a bug in Quantizer.
When reducing colours to 4 using Octree (2 passes) and some sort of error-diffusion, I get a one colour image, that is a block of solid colour.
Can anyone confirm? Tested using Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3.

Re: Ximagic Graydither
Has anybody tried this BKonvert program? It's in some weird language to me (Polish?) but it seems it has a lot of dithering algorithms.

Re: Ximagic Graydither
Thank you very much. Currently I prefer CS3 because it allows me to select Lines Per Inch (Screen frequency).

Save As PCL Suggestions
Hello. I have a few suggestions when writing PCL files.
NEEDED:
- Specify paper size: e.g. A4 (ESC &l26A) (optionally specify input tray - should default to auto = 0)
- Specify orientation: e.g. Portrait/Landscape
OPTIONAL:
- Duplex mode printing: long-side and short-side binding.
E.g. simplex ...

Re: Ximagic Graydither
Howdy. Another question.
When creating 45º halftones from the built-in list, what mesh motive is used? I mean is the halftone made up of round dots, elliptical, square, or what?
Photoshop CS3's built-in halftone mode allow you to choose forms from Round, Elliptical, Square, Cross, Lines...

Re: Resize bug in most image processing programs?
Ok. This is old news. The current workaround is:
1. Decrease gamma to 0.45
2. Resize
3. Increase gamma to 2.2

Resize bug in most image processing programs?
Hello all.
A friend of mine sent this page to me yesterday.
Although old, the mentioned issue seems to remain on most image processing programs.
So far XnView 1.97.2 (even after trying the 32bits workaround), Irfanview 4.25 (zooming is almost fine) and Paint Shop Pro X are affected. The only one ...

Re: Ximagic Graydither
I have another question regarding Graydither.
Can Hilbert-Peano curves (i.e. Riemersma) be considered some form of FM-Screening (stochastic) or are they a different thing?

Re: Ximagic Denoiser Plugin
Hi, Blas.
I have found what it seems a bug in the NL Means denoiser plugin behaviour. Get this back cover and use NL Means on it with the following parameters:
Spatial Sigma: 30
Learn Radius: 16
Compare Radius: 5
Enhanced mode
Then, there appears heavy pink artifacts at the bar code. Is this ...
