Opening a selection of files

Post by CreativeWorld »

What I would like:

There are 100 image files in a folder.

1. Select 3 of those files in Windows file explorer
2. Right-click, "Open" or "Open in XnView"
3. it opens a single instance of XnView and I can flip through the 3 files using the arrow keys.
4. Leaving that open, go back to file explorer
5. Select 4 files, maybe some the same as before, doesn't matter
6. Right click, "open" or "open in xnview"
7. another instance opens with those 4 files in it, and I can flip through them using the arrow keys

Is there some way to set this up using the settings?

"Only one Instance" is no good, because I can't do step 7. Without it, the files open up in separate windows. With it, a single file opens up in a single window and I am stuck flipping through all 100 files instead of only the 3 I selected.
