Can't move to another folder with the mouse

Post by BlackWinny »

Hello !

When I try to move a picture to another folder, the mouse symbol becomes a no parking sign and the move is unable.

Here is a picture showing all the context (XnViewMP 0.53, Win64, and the problem).

Did I miss something, or is it a bug ?

Something else : when writing in the forum I want to add an attachment, if I click on the button "Browse..." (in french "Parcourir...") placed below the writing field, nothing happens. So I can't add descriptive pictures and I must send pictures to another website then place here an external link. It's really annoying. Is it a problem only occuring for me or is it really a disabled function ?

And it's not all : It seems also that the BBCode tag img doesn't work as you can see above, although it is available in the buttons above the writing field.

Is JavaScript disabled in your web browser, BlackWinny?

I've edited your post. http:// was missing in the URL:

No, no, it is enabled. Here are my settings:

So these 3 settings apart, all Javascript is fully functional in my browser.

And about the problem I meet in XnViewMP:

I've tried to upload a file with your forum permissions after changing the board style to subsilver2 and the language to Français standard. The Browse... button (Upload attachment tab) works just as expected in my 32-bit Firefox — even if JavaScript is turned off :?

Users can attach up to 3 files per post:
  • Maximum file size: 256 KiB
  • Allowed extension
    • Archives: 7z, ace, bz2, gtar, gz, rar, tar, tgz, torrent, zip
    • Images: gif, jpeg, jpg, png, tga, tif, tiff

Hello XnTriq

I've got it!

The reason was here:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pop ... r-settings

In french:
http://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/parame ... tres-popup

I didn't realize that the window that appears to choose a file is... itself a popup!

So I had simply to enable the exception by a click on the blue little square tool at the end of the address bar:

And now that its' done for newsgroup.xnview.com... I have yes the little window that appears to let me choose a file.

Few!

About the problem of the impossibility to move a file with the mouse in XnViewMP, do you confirm oops66 that it's simply because XnViewMP isn't yet able to do it?

I have put the question here in the forum because although XnViewMP is in beta state I was surprised that such an elementary mouse function was still missing since the beginning of the project in... 2008 if I've understood well.

So the reason is simply there?

Yes, this hasn't been implemented yet.

FYI: Our pal oops66 is more trustworthy than me anyway (-;
