how to run mp on ubuntu

so i installed the .deb package in ubuntu 12. progress barrs indicated things were installing and i
got a message that it finished. ok. so how do i run the program? it's not in any of my launch menus
and no desktop link appeared. can't seem to find it anywhere.

Try in the terminal, or by the "windows key" ...

tried terminal command but got:

 Command 'nnview' from package 'nn' (universe)

xnview: command not found

also looked in /usr/sbin and found no xnview.
