On-Disk Management: Yet another (easy) topic

Post by m.Th. »

Yet another thing which hinders the On-Disk File Management (ie. the File Manager features), besides of big ones like...

...the lack of drag & drop http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=28147
...and the lack of File Management commands in File Folders tree http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=28011

is the lack of a small feature but which enough times helps a lot:

In the Move To... (or Copy To...) dialog exists a check box saying "show selected folder in folder tree".

Please add next to it a button with the caption "Expand Now...".

When we'll press on it, it will expand the folder tree above to the folder which actually is in the edit box bellow.

... I see that you have already the code to do this because the directory tree changes correctly when one closes the drop-down box. But this doesn't cove the case when one writtes copy/pastes the path from another app or writes the path by hand.
