XnViewe db and ini file

Post by will67 »

Hello,

Perhaps someone knows the answer.

Question: How to change the folder "C:\Users\xxx\Anwendungsdaten\XnView\XnView.db" for all users to "c: \temp\xnview"

Reason: Userprofil is too big

Thanks

Hi,

Yes all other files will be moved, but the xnview.db is still in user profile and it grows up by working.

I found in Options Systemintegration only the option for the .ini file and other files. The .db is still in the user profile. Ohter file will be set to c:\temp\xnview with category.bak and category.db file.

Idea ??

IMO you should disable caching. It's not necessary. I have folders with thousands of images and it doesn't take that long to generate thumbnails.
I'm not sure about xnview but in the past I've had cached thumbnails for files conflict with other images because it cached the previous files thumbnail and did not detect a change.
Also the less you cache the more secure your personal data is.

Browser>thumbnail>Cache uncheck enable caching
