Just tried and no it doesn't either.
i've tried with azpainter, and the picture file is opened correctly...

It must be an OS issue and I think I perhaps found the reason why it doesn't work here.

Using a copy path to clipboard program as an XnView button I found out that in v2.13 and above there is a space after the full path within quotes that is being sent by XnView.

I also tried to add AzPainter2 to the XnView Open with menu and it works as intended in all versions. Testing that menu command with the copy path program shows that no space is added to the full path in any version and that (probably irrelevant) it isn't enclosed within quotes.

In order to be able to upgrade current version without losing functionality I have now found a workaround that lets me use AzPainter2 as an XnView button by creating edit menu entries in Windows for the filetypes it supports and created an XnView toolbar button using the command cmd_ShellEdit.
