0.51-0.69: Tree pane / Favorites - null window

restart of MP doesnt help - need to close and open Favourites to make them visible again

no, just sometimes after restart

program restart not help. need to drag it to make floating and than drag agan to pin it back

on windows from 7 to 8.1update

It happens for me when starting Xnview for first time (not when close and restart)

Favorites or Filter (if active when last closed) is blank, so I need to click on another tab and back to Favorites.

With docked panes (as in the pic above) you can try adding Data pane menu to the toolbar and click it twice to get Favorites shortcuts shown.
