two questions about exif and tabs

Post by eestudent »

Hi All,
I want to change the setting of xnviewMP but not sure how.
1. Whenever I open a photo from windows explorer I wish that the photo is opened in an existing window in new tab not a different window.
2. how do I show exif in each tab ?

I think you need the following setting:

Tools > Settings...
One_instance.png

If I understand correctly, I think you can achieve what you want by clicking on Insert >> and selecting the parameter(s) you need:

Thanks for the reply.
first option doesn't work, whenever I open a new photo a new instance is opened with single tab.

Did you get this prompt?

If you restarted XnViewMP and still have a new instance each time I'm not sure...
