Having 2 issues with 0.72:
1. Deleting files from Xnview MP explorer often results with error message that the file is in use and cannot be deleted. Same goes for move. No other programs open. Switching to Windows explorer trying to delete the file there often (not always) results in the same error message. When closing Xnview MP and deleting from Windows Explorer then it works.
2. I have directorey /A and directory /B. Both contain pictures that are categorized and rated. Now I want to change directory structure to /2014/A and /2014/B. When I move the folders into folder 2014 then all categories and ratings are lost. No matter if I move with Windows Explorer or Xnvie MP internal move. That doesn´t make sense to lose hours of work spent with rating and categorizing media files.

if you use windows explorer, it's normal that categories/rating are lost. But i can't reproduce if you move in XnViewMP.2. For me reproducible. Seems to be a database problem.xnview wrote:if you use windows explorer, it's normal that categories/rating are lost. But i can't reproduce if you move in XnViewMP.jadO wrote: 2. I move /A into folder 2014 using move function in MP. Then I go to category. When I click category I see all the thumbnails. When I click thumbnails it says file not found at that location.
I restarted MP same behaviour. When I go to MP explorer on go into /2014/A I can see newly created thumbnails for the moved files but no category and rating icons.

Re: 0.72 2 issues
Sometimes? Not possible to lets say delete 5 files altogether because one file might be locked. I would say not sometimes but 3 or 4 our of 5 a file is locked.xnview wrote:Ok, yes sometimes the video file is locked...jadO wrote:Video files NOT image files.xnview wrote: 1. Re: 0.72 2 issues
Unfortunately same issue with 0.75.xnview wrote:jadO wrote: Sometimes? Not possible to lets say delete 5 files altogether because one file might be locked. I would say not sometimes but 3 or 4 our of 5 a file is locked.could you ty 0.75 and tell me if you have always the problem with video files?

This is annoying as moving files does not work as well. Moving results in a new file with new timestamps in destination folder and XnViewMP cannot delete the source file.
Edit: Ctrl+X/Ctrl+V works. So it should be possible to solve the issue.

Issue 1 or 2?jadO wrote: Unfortunately same issue with 0.75.

Issue 1. As said: Deleting does not work as files is in use and moving does not work. The destination file gets created but the source file cannot get deleted.xnview wrote:Issue 1 or 2?jadO wrote: Unfortunately same issue with 0.75.

Do you have a way to reproduce this issue?jadO wrote: Issue 1. As said: Deleting does not work as files is in use and moving does not work. The destination file gets created but the source file cannot get deleted.

Re: 0.72 2 issues
I am currently on 0.75 and same issue. For me it is almost 100% reproducible. Whenever I want to move a video file or delete it then I get these problems.xnview wrote:Do you have a way to reproduce this issue?jadO wrote: Issue 1. Re: 0.72 2 issues
so moving a video file with mouse is a problem, Ctrl+X/Ctrl+V works, right?jadO wrote: I am currently on 0.75 and same issue. For me it is almost 100% reproducible. Whenever I want to move a video file or delete it then I get these problems.
