XnConvert RAW quality

hello!

I just stumbled upon this converter tool via google.

My goal is to convert my directory structure of 1000+ Canon RAW files to JPG.

I would like to lighten up the shadows a little and take back some highlights for each photo to take advantage of the extra RAW picture details before JPG compression.

But after some testing I am realizing now that XnConvert does not use the full RAW file but only the embedded jpg for conversion.
Did I do something wrong? Is there a Pro Version I can purchase?

• Settings » Load format settings... » Camera RAW » Use [ Full size ]

Embedded preview is the default.
