Hi, I always scanning images with IrfanView (because its batch scan function is very convient) and saved them to *.tif format, next I will used XnView to crop scanned images and saved it again to tif format. When I open it with Gimp for further details editing, I always get Gimp message:

Image

I can still working on it but the popup message is really annoying. There's no problem if I opened it directly from the first tif format saved by IrfanView, can anyone explain to me what it the reason why? Thanks.

That'd great! Thanks. The problem remains after upgraded to 1.80.

I really like the croping function provided by XnView. Crop the area I want first, do adjustment if necessary , Ctrl-y to elimated unwanted area (while this 2 helpful function and short key is not available from The gimp and Irfanview) and save it.
