MP4 H264 bigger 1920x1080 crashes Xnview

Post by dino »

Dear all,

there is no Problem using XnView to see MP4 Video's with H.264 Codec. Just if they have a bigger resolution than 1920x1080 XnView crashes. Also in the preview screen.

Here the screenshots:

Do you have any idea?

Dear Pierre,

yes you are right this is the Problem. I investigated in the issue and found that the "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder" is used in my system per default. And it supports only a maximum Resolution of 1920 × 1088 pixels. But would it in this case not be possible Xnview don't show the preview and don't crash?

Dear Pierre,

it's working fine now. I just hat to disable the "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder" via this tool: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/installed_codec.html
