Clipboard incompatibility of MP and Classic

1. Open logo.png in XnView MP and go to Edit → Copy to clipboard → Image data.
2. Start XnView Classic and go to Edit → Import Clipboard.

Thanks for clarifying, Pierre. Most users won't use both editions of XnView side-by-side anyway, let alone transfer image data through the clipboard from MP to Classic or vice versa.

Hmm, I think that differences in the behaviour of XnView Classic and XnView MP should be avoided if possible. If I understand right, it's XnView Classic which behaves wrong or unexpected. As long as there is a way to workaround, it's o.k..

It's both ways (MP → Classic & Classic → MP).

Samples:

• site_logo.png (truecolor + alpha channel)
• logo.png (truecolor + alpha channel)
• app-xnview-512.png (paletted + “cheap alpha”)

Both, I believe. However, if I'm not misinterpreting Pierre's comment, …

… this is a limitation that can't be fixed.

Closed (There is no bug in XnView MP. And XnView Classic cannot be changed.)
