0.84: Freeze when renaming files on network

Tried to rename some files on the network. MP froze for a few min before I killed it. I'm left with some tmp files.
Are you doing something so it's making copies instead of just renaming?

I've just tried to reproduce the problem but it works fine:
- Manually renamed individual image files in a folder on a network drive
- Batch renamed 12 image files in a folder on the network drive

All that I found is that when starting batch rename there is no wait cursor and nothing. After some few seconds all files are displayed with their new name.

- Which OS (Windows, ...) and version do you use?
- How and where (Browser, Viewer) do you perform renaming? How many files do you rename?

...aaaaand what is the speed of your LAN datastream? (Network + storage)

Try to rename in the OS' file manager? It takes the same amount of time?
