Or perhaps a better place would be, at least in 98/98SE:

[C:\WINDOWS\WEB\Wallpaper]
No, every time I see the Web folder I think of that Web Publishing tool of MS's. So really it's not logical.

For Win9x it should be \Windows
For Win2k and higher it should be in User Specific folders.
AMD Ryzen 3 3300X 3.8Ghz, 16Gb DDR4, RX6600XT with Dell U2520D at 2560x1440@60Hz scaling 125%
Windows 11 Pro x64 23H2, Listary Pro, PowerToys and Wintoys

Think XnView should be flexible whenever needed, but I can't see the reason and benefit why we need an option, here?

XnView should be able to distinguish Windows 9x, and the other Windows platforms and choose the right location, automatically:
- For Windows 9x: \Windows
- For Win2K or higher: \Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\XnView

Here i see many wallpapers in bmp format... It is bad, because they are don't need me and take much space every day...

Yes it was a request to add date in filename. So perhaps an option to save only same filename will be good, what do you think?

I think, must be limit for pictures, that are placed here, maybe 5 files will be good.

Here is one suggestion:

- remove wallpapers older than [x] day(s)

(or - maintain maximum [x] wallpapers)

Or at least:

[x] Maintain old wallpapers
