Disable automatic change of landscape view

When looking at my pictures in the thumbnails there is a few ones with landscape view because I hold the camera like this when I made the picture. When double clicking on the thumbnail xnview automatically changes the view and rotates the picture to the normal view. How can I avoid this?

in XnView, press F12 or go to the options.
seek for something called "Rotate images based on EXIF orientation"
while seeking have a look at all the other wonderful options/features which make your life easier.
