Move images to hidden folders

Post by bronYaur »

In the browser, I cannot use the move command to move images to a hidden folder. I have un-hidden the folder, but, the folder does not exist when I attempt to move an image.

You mean in the "Copy/Move to" dialog box?

Yes. While in the browser, if I right click on an image and select the "move to" command, an 'explore window' appears. Hidden folders are not available. I did enable show hidden folders in the configuration.

:) Hello !

- Right, the hidden folder doesn't appear in the tree of the box; BUT if you type the name of this hidden folder in the lower field as the target path that works, the file is moved alright, I just checked that here under Win 98 SE - XnView 1.80.2

 Kind regards,
Claude

IMHO, this lack of hidden folders in the tree is an annoying lacuna. They might be displayed like in <Windows>, with the appropriate icon :

I guess it's available in the <Shell32.dll> of Windows…

Thank you to all for your assistance. Typing the path does work...but...I have a complicated folder structure and typing the path each time will be frustrating. Hopefully this function will ba availabe in a future release.
