xnviewmp 0.94.3 slow gif load + archive viewing

two issues i'm facing need help.

1. I have folder with lots of large .gif files (15 MB+) and I use wheel scroll to go next/prev .gif. problem is that it is incredibly slow to load next picture and go back to previous picture, its like it is trying to cache the image before it loads & takes 1-2 seconds to go next/prev .gif. still image have tiny delay where if I scroll multiple times to go through multiple images it has this "queue up" and loads them in succession which takes 25-50ms for next picture. gif on the other hand takes 1-2 seconds.. it should load instantly as ACDsee 5.0 from 20 yrs ago could do this instantly with no lag/delay.

2. unable to browse .zip .rar file with pictures inside them. which I found this thread here viewtopic.php?t=17881 to download addon plugin, but the link just brings me to download the software no where I see where I can download plugin to view .zip/.rar.

please help!

ok, your GIF file are 10Mb with more than 1600 frames in 1600x1600. When loading GIF all frames are decoded, this can take some time

that doesnt make sense tho, with a computer as powerful as 6 cores 4.7ghz and gtx 1070 it shoudl not lag at all. i use these pictures in acdsee 5.0 and everything is instant, how can it be a software that is almost 20 years old have no lag issue while xnview has lag.
